Devotional – The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is not a distraction from Jesus. He reveals our Father’s work in sending the Son as the propitiation for the sins of the whole world, and He enables us to understand and appreciate the significance of what Jesus has done for us personally. This connection with Jesus, the grace and liberty He gives, and the redemption we receive in Him is more than just a theoretical idea or a dogmatic statement; it is meant to be the governing reality that our hearts encounter. Jesus is a heartfelt emotion.

I have discovered that one of the keys to living a fulfilling life is to develop a habit of listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is my constant companion, providing comfort, guidance, and wisdom. He speaks to me through various means, including the Scriptures, my conscience, and the circumstances of my life. Additionally, he uses other believers to communicate with me. The Holy Spirit convicts me of wrongdoing, teaches me the truth, reminds me of God’s promises, and empowers me to live according to his will. He also intercedes on my behalf and helps me to pray when I am at a loss for words.

I have discovered a beautiful way to cooperate with the Holy Spirit’s work in my life. The Holy Spirit is my sanctifier, helper, and friend, and through His work in me, I am able to produce the fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Moreover, He blesses me with spiritual gifts that allow me to serve God and others in the body of Christ, and helps me to develop these gifts for His glory and the common good.

A third way is always to celebrate the Holy Spirit’s presence in my life and the lives of others. The Holy Spirit is a believer’s seal, guarantee, and pledge. He assures us of our adoption as God’s children and inheritance as God’s heirs. He also fills us with his power and joy as we worship God and witness to others. He enables us to praise God with our words and actions and empowers us to share the gospel with boldness and love.

These are some ways we can experience the reality of our relationship with Jesus through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit does not draw attention away from Jesus. Instead, He draws us closer to Jesus and helps us to become more like Him.

Blessings,
