First, what are the problems in the world today (2023)?

It Is Too Bad – December 11, 2023

Written by Lesallan

Hey, everyone. It’s been a while since I posted anything on this blog, but I felt like I had to share my thoughts on the current state of the world. I’m sure you all know what I’m talking about: the pandemic, the climate crisis, the political turmoil, the social unrest, the economic inequality, the cyberattacks, the nuclear threats, the list goes on and on. It is too bad that we must live in such a chaotic and uncertain time.

But you know what? I’m not here to complain or to spread doom and gloom. I’m here to offer some hope and some perspective. Because I believe that despite all the problems we face, there is still a lot of good in the world. There are still people who care, who help, who inspire, who create, who innovate, who collaborate, who dream. There are still amazing things happening every day that make life worth living.

Do you know who is leading the way in making a difference? The church. Yes, you heard me right. The church. The body of Christ. The community of faith. The people who follow Jesus and his teachings. The people who love God and love their neighbors as themselves.

I want to share with you some of the stories that show how the church is solving the problems in the world today. Stories that show how the church is feeding the hungry (Matthew 25:35), healing the sick (James 5:14-15), sheltering the homeless (Isaiah 58:7), educating the children (Proverbs 22:6), empowering the women (Galatians 3:28), protecting the environment (Genesis 2:15), promoting peace (Romans 12:18), fighting injustice (Micah 6:8), sharing the gospel (Mark 16:15), and more. Stories that show how the church is being the salt and light of the world (Matthew 5:13-16).

I hope these stories will brighten your day and lift your spirits. I hope they will motivate you to join the church in its mission of transforming the world. I hope they will make you say it is too bad, but it’s not all bad.

Blessings from the Father and a true believer in Christ,

Lesallan
