This profound and existential question has puzzled philosophers, theologians, and ordinary people for centuries. What is the purpose of my existence? What is the meaning of my life? How do I find fulfillment and happiness in a world that is full of suffering and injustice?

These are some of the questions that I explore in this blog post, drawing from various sources of wisdom and insight, such as religion, spirituality, psychology, and literature. I do not claim to have the definitive answer to these questions, nor intend to impose my views on anyone else. I simply share my journey of searching for answers and hope it may inspire you to reflect on your own.

I believe that the question of why I am alive cannot be answered by logic or reason alone. It is a question that requires faith, intuition, and imagination. This question invites us to transcend our limited perspective and connect with something greater than ourselves. It is a question that challenges us to live authentically and courageously, according to our values and passions.

One of the ways that I try to answer this question is by looking at the stories of people who have inspired me with their lives. People who have overcome adversity, pursued their dreams, contributed to society, or expressed their creativity. People who have lived with joy, gratitude, compassion, and love. People who have found their calling and followed it with dedication and enthusiasm.

Some of these famous and well-known people, such as Martin Luther King Jr., Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, Albert Einstein, and Maya Angelou. Others, such as my parents, teachers, friends, or mentors, are less famous but equally inspiring. Each of these people has taught me something valuable about life and has shown me a possible way to answer the question of why am I alive.

Another way that I try to answer this question is by looking at the beauty and wonder of nature. Nature is a source of awe and inspiration for me, as it reveals the complexity and harmony of creation. Nature is also a source of healing and peace for me, as it soothes my mind and soul with its calmness and serenity. Nature is also a source of learning and growth for me, as it teaches me about resilience, adaptation, and interdependence.

When I observe the sun rising in the morning, the stars shining at night, the flowers blooming in the spring, the leaves falling in the autumn, the snow covering the ground in the winter, or the rain nourishing the earth in the summer, I feel a sense of wonder and gratitude for being alive. When I listen to the birds singing, the wind blowing, the waves crashing, or the thunder roaring, I feel a sense of connection and belonging to something bigger than myself. When I witness the cycles of life and death, growth and decay, change and continuity in nature, I feel a sense of humility and wisdom about my place in the universe.

A third way that I try to answer this question is by looking at the love and kindness that I experience in my relationships. Relationships are a vital part of my life, as they provide me with support, comfort, companionship, and joy. Relationships are also a challenging part of my life, as they require me to communicate, compromise, cooperate, and forgive. Relationships are also a rewarding part of my life, as they enable me to give, receive, share, and grow.

The most important relationship that I have is with myself. I believe that self-love is the foundation of all other forms of love. Self-love means accepting myself as I am, with my strengths and weaknesses, virtues and flaws. Self-love means respecting myself as a human being worthy of dignity and happiness. Self-love means caring for myself as a person who has needs and desires. Self-love means expressing myself as an individual who has talents and passions.

The second most important relationship that I have is with others. I believe that human beings are social creatures who need each other to survive and thrive. Human beings are also diverse creatures who can enrich each other with their differences. Human beings are also interdependent creatures who can help each other with their challenges. Human beings are also compassionate creatures who can touch each other with their kindness.

My third most important relationship is with God or a higher power. I believe a divine presence guides me through life and gives me hope for the future. This presence may have different names and forms for different people: God.

Blessings,
