The landscape of global change is constantly evolving, especially with the emergence of new countries as significant economic forces in the global market. Organizations must be prepared to embrace ongoing and rapid changes to stay competitive amidst this rapid growth. One approach to addressing this challenge is to consider a structured process for implementing global leadership change. Below are the steps needed to kickstart change in a global economy characterized by diverse and sometimes conflicting ideologies.

Before initiating any changes, it is essential to assess the current situation thoroughly. This includes conducting a comprehensive analysis of the organization’s current position, using methodologies such as SWOT analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Understanding the cultural, economic, and political landscapes of key markets is also crucial. According to Mendenhall et al. (2018), this initial assessment is critical for establishing a strong foundation for any change initiative.

Secondly, it is crucial to define clear objectives and a compelling vision. The vision should not only be clear but also deeply aligned with the organization’s core values and mission.
