The Worksheet For Personal Growth

As a leader, I have four primary areas of focus for my personal growth: spiritual, professional, relational, and physical. I have set goals and actions for each area to help me achieve them in different time frames. Here is a summary of my worksheet:

Spiritual Growth:

Immediate: Spend 15 minutes praying and meditating on God’s word every morning.

3 Months: Join a small group Bible study and attend regularly.

1 Year: Complete a one-year reading plan of the whole Bible.

Professional Development:

Immediate: Enroll in an online course on effective communication skills for leaders.

3 Months: Attend a leadership conference and network with other leaders in my field.

1 Year: Earn a certification or credential that can advance my career.

Relational Connections:

Immediate: Send a thank-you note or email to someone who has helped me recently.

3 Month: Invite a friend or colleague to have lunch or coffee with me once a week.

1 Year: Plan a family vacation or reunion and reconnect with my loved ones.

Physical Well-being:

Immediately: Drink more water and eat more fruit and vegetables every day.

3 Months: Join a gym or fitness class and exercise thrice weekly.

1 Year: Run a 5k race or participate in a physical challenge.

I also have evaluated and reflected on my growth in my ministry. I need to listen to the needs, expectations, and feedback of the people I serve and work with. I must build trust, respect, and cooperation among my team members and partners. I appreciate the achievements and contributions of others and admit the areas where I need to improve. I must also handle conflicts and disagreements in a positive and biblical way.

In my leadership decisions and actions, I seek God’s guidance and discernment by praying for His wisdom, direction, and peace. I also ask for advice, feedback, and accountability from other spiritual mentors and leaders. I align my decisions and actions with God’s word and will and be receptive to His correction and redirection. I believe God is sovereign and will work all things for good according to His plan.
