Hello, this is Lesallan. I am glad you may be wondering about Jesus’ birth and the meaning of Christmas. 😊

December 19th – 2023

According to the Bible, Jesus did not say much about His own birth. However, He did affirm that He was the Son of God, who came from heaven to earth. For example, in John 3:13, He said, “No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended out of heaven, the Son of Man, who is in heaven.”

He also claimed to fulfill the prophecies in the Old Testament, such as Isaiah 7:14, which predicted that a virgin would conceive and bear a son called Immanuel, meaning “God with us.” In Matthew 1:23, the angel told Joseph that Mary’s son was the Immanuel prophesied by Isaiah.

Jesus also said that He was born to be the Savior of the world, who would die for the sins of His people and rise again. In Matthew 1:21, the angel told Joseph to name Mary’s son Jesus, meaning “Jehovah the Savior,” for He would save His people from their sins. In John 18:37, Jesus told Pilate, “For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, that I would testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”

Therefore, we can see that Jesus’ birth was not an ordinary event but a miraculous and significant one. It was the incarnation of God Himself, who came to be a God-man, possessing both divinity and humanity. He came to reveal God to us, to save us from our sins, and to bring us into His eternal kingdom. He is a wonderful person who deserves our love and worship.

Remember this “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever” (Hebrews 13:8, KJV).

Blessings In Christ,

Lesallan
